FAQs

Please note that all prices listed on this website are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Where are your pieces made?

Every piece is made entirely by me in my Melbourne workshop. This is a private studio where I pour my heart and soul into handmaking my creations, in the hope that they bring you enormous joy!

I can’t see the piece I’m after on your website. Can you still make it for me?

In most cases, yes! If not exactly, I could create a custom variation based on the original piece you are interested in. Please get in touch via my Contact page and send images of the design you are after, and we can discuss.

I’d like to purchase a piece that says it will be made to order – how long will this take?

Please allow up to 2 weeks (or up to 4 weeks for anything with a stone in it) to have something made to order. I will be in touch with more concrete timeframes along the way, and ship your piece as soon as I can. Please note that these timeframes are a guide only and may vary seasonally or due to other unexpected circumstances. If you’d like a more definite timeframe before committing to your order, please send me an email first via my Contact page and we can discuss.

Will my piece look exactly as depicted online?

Colours may vary slightly according to the monitor/platform you are viewing on. Each piece is handmade, therefore slight variations may occur in terms of patterning and finish, but I will endeavour to recreate the piece as faithfully as possible. That’s the beauty of the handmade process; each piece is individual and crafted especially for you!

I’ve lost an earring – can you make me a replacement?

Yes, I can make replacement earrings. Please email me via my Contact page with an image of the remaining earring and I can advise of the price and timeframe for a replacement.

Will the black/oxidised finish rub off on my skin?

The oxidised finish should not rub off on the skin. It has been sealed with a wax and is usually quite stable. Some people may notice slight residue on their earlobes or necks from earring hooks or chains rubbing, but this easily wipes away and should stop after a few wears.

I love your work but am thinking of something completely unique – can you make it for me?

Of course, I would love to create a custom piece just for you. Please get in touch via my Contact page and we can start a discussion about what you would like to have made.

How long does a bespoke piece take to make?

Bespoke timelines can vary enormously, depending on the complexity of the planning & design phase, and if I need to source gemstone options for you to consider, etc. As a rough guide, allow up to 6 weeks for a custom design to be completed, if it has gemstones included. A piece without gems could take 3-4 weeks to be made.

Can I use repurposed/heirloom gemstones in your pieces?

This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and I usually need to examine the gemstones in person to ascertain if they will be ok for use. Sometimes heirloom gemstones can be scratched, chipped or damaged, and it is more advisable to source new gemstones to use. If you have something you’d like to incorporate into a new design, please get in touch via my Contact page with some preliminary images and I can advise.

Can I use existing metal for your pieces?

I don’t frequently re-use existing metal in my pieces, as the process to melt it down and re-work it can be quite labour intensive, and vintage alloys often differ to modern metals, meaning the colours of the metals can vary. Having said that, if you have an existing piece that is of enormous sentimental value, I’m happy to discuss the option of incorporating this metal into a new design.

Please note, this only applies to gold. I do not re-use or melt down silver.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes of course! International orders will be sent via registered Airmail with Australia Post, including tracking, and may take up to 2 weeks to arrive, depending on your location.

Please note that some countries will charge customs or import duties and fees upon arrival, which is your responsibility to pay. I am not liable to pay for any of these fees imposed by your country. Please enquire with your local customs office if you’re unsure of any charges.

For more information regarding international or Australian delivery, see my shipping page.

How long will it take for my product/s to be shipped?

If an item is currently in stock, I will aim to ship it within 2-3 business days, and send you confirmation once it has been shipped. I will be in touch if there are any unforeseen delays. If an item is being made to order, please allow up to 2 weeks for it to be custom made and then shipped.

Do you provide a warranty?

I don’t offer a specific warranty per se, however I pride myself on the quality of my workmanship and stand by its execution. If you have any problems with a piece I have made for you, please get in touch with me for advice.

No jewellery is indestructible, and it needs to be treated with love and care. This includes safe storage of your pieces – ideally in the box they were provided in – and removing them before doing anything strenuous or related to abrasives or chemicals. For more information on the best ways to care for your jewellery, please visit my Care page.

What is your returns / exchange policy?

I will not accept returns for change of mind purchases. If you would like any further information before committing to your purchase, for example images of the piece being worn to understand its size or scale, please drop me a line via my Contact page and I will be happy to assist.

If you receive your piece and it’s not quite right, I am happy to offer an exchange. Exchanges will be accepted up to 14 days after you have received your parcel. Please email me within this timeframe to advise if you are sending anything back, so I can keep an eye out for your parcel. I kindly ask that you package your items for safe return with as much care and respect as they were sent to you with. I will not be responsible for parcels which are poorly packaged, damaged or lost in transit. Shipping fees paid by the sender will not be refunded.

If you would like to exchange for a piece of higher value, you will need to pay the difference. If you are exchanging for a piece of lower value, unfortunately I cannot offer a refund for the difference.

Jewellery that has been worn or damaged will not be accepted for a return or exchange.

Any bespoke piece that has been custom made for you cannot be exchanged or returned. Your payment of a 50% deposit at the time of confirming an order indicates that you have committed to this piece.

If you believe your piece has been damaged in transit, please contact me as soon as you receive your parcel and include images of the piece and parcel so that I can assess. Every piece leaves my studio expertly packed and secure for delivery.

Faulty products

I pride myself on creating high quality pieces, and stand by my craftsmanship. If you believe a piece you have received is faulty, I am happy to repair or replace it for you once your item has been returned to me and assessed in my workshop. Please contact me within 3 days of receiving your parcel to begin this discussion. Please ensure you email me before returning a parcel, and I kindly ask that you package your items for safe return with as much care and respect as they were sent to you with. I will not be responsible for parcels which are poorly packaged, damaged or lost in transit.
