Rare: A Group Exhibition
Pieces of Eight Gallery, Melbourne, 2022

“‘Rare’ is a group exhibition of contemporary jewellers at Pieces of Eight Gallery, celebrating the diversity of unique diamonds and natural coloured gemstones. Expressed through contemporary design and unique gemstone cuts, this survey of creative fine and precious jewellery honours the preciousness of materials gleaned from the earth.”

My ‘You’re the One’ ring is handmade in 18ct rose gold with a 1.56ct trapezoid rose cut opaque green diamond, and champagne diamonds scattered along two bold side panels. I couldn't go past this unique diamond when I first saw it. I love its intriguing depth of colour and rose cut facets. I designed a modern, angular setting to house and hero this one of a kind gem. It's the perfect ring for those looking for a diamond ring with a difference.

The ‘Amor Azul’ ring was handcrafted in 18ct white gold with 0.68ct rose cut pentagon blue diamond and a halo of salt and pepper diamonds. The diamond was a mysterious, deep blue opaque gem. Inspired by the angular facets of this rose cut diamond, I designed an icy white gold engagement ring that feels contemporary yet timeless.

Finally, I created the diamond ‘Path’ ring in 18ct yellow gold with rose cut round blue diamonds. I love the rich, saturated colour of these gems and it seemed obvious to set them amongst buttery yellow gold. Little steps pave the way on this ring, leading its wearer along a path of extraordinary encounters.
